Design a Pool to Fit your Space
Did you know…You can still incorporate a pool into a small yard!? This is not only aesthetically pleasing, but will also increase the value of your backyard.
Part of the experience when you work with us is designing a pool and its surrounding area that suits your needs to make the most of the specific space you have. In most cases when designing in smaller spaces, we would recommend building a shotcrete/gunite pool. These pools feature high durability and are the perfect solution for a less traditional backyard layout.
Choose the Right Outdoor Furniture
Try and choose functional furniture with multi-purposes, such as outdoor couches or tables with extra storage! Position your furniture against a wall or fence for added privacy and functionality. Angle the chairs outward to create an open space feeling. Benches without backs and slim profile chairs also make excellent choices.
Create a Focal Point
You can make a statement in a small backyard with a small water feature, sculpture, or landscape design. This gives the eye a place to gravitate towards, giving the feeling of a less cluttered and well-designed space.
Make use of Vertical Space!
If there isn’t much room on the ground for plants and trees, don’t forget what you can do with your surrounding walls and fence! You can build flowers, herbs, succulents, bushes, or even vegetables in vertical containers attached to a wall!
What’s more? Plants and flowers can also be suspended from beams or wall hangers. Hanging baskets are a great way to add some colour, and don’t take up any extra space!
For some added ambiance, try hanging some string lights on your patio or against your fence. This is an inexpensive way to create an inviting space for entertaining and enjoying.
